TRUMANN, AR – A Saturday funeral is set for Fire Chief Rick Winkles.
Winkles, 53, suffered an apparent heart attack while fighting a fire on Tuesday and died after being taken to the hospital.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church* in Trumann, according to the Arkansas State Firefighters Association.
The funeral will also be held at the church. It begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in Marked Tree.
All fire departments that would like to bring trucks to the service are welcome.
*Directions: The church is located at 1301 Hwy 69 Blvd. Coming off US 63, turn between the Citgo and Shell truck stops, go east into town, the church is 1 mile ahead on the right.
