Two Killed in Jefferson County Accident on I-530

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Two people have died in an accident on Interstate 530 in Jefferson County.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes near Redfield.

The Arkansas State Police accident report identifies the victims as Christopher D. Perry, 48, of Warren, who was driving a 2011 Toyota Highlander, and his passenger, Hannah Terry, 15, also of Warren.

Four others were injured in the crash, including two in Perry’s vehicle. There is no word on the condition of any of the injured.

Troopers say Joshua Tisdale, 17, of Little Rock, the driver of the second vehicle, a 2005 Toyota Camry, had tried to pass Perry’s vehicle but struck it from behind.

The impact sent Perry’s vehicle off the interstate where it overturned and struck a tree.

Tisdale’s car hit a cable barrier and then caught fire, the accident report said.
