Update: 3 Arrested in Jacksonville Funeral Home Investigation

Update (June 16):
JACKSONVILLE, AR – Three men have been arrested after police issue warrants in the investigation of a local funeral home.

Leroy Wood, 86, of Jacksonville, along with Rod Wood, 61, of Heber Springs and Edward Snow, 63, of Cabot, each face 13 counts of abuse of a corpse. 

The men are all associated with Arkansas Funeral Care, which became the focus of a police investigation last year.

They will answer the charges in court next week.

JACKSONVILLE, AR – The Jacksonville Police Department issuing arrest warrants against a former funeral home owner and two other workers.

FOX16 has been following this story since January. Arkansas Funeral Care owner Leroy Wood along with Rod Wood, and Edward Snow all face 13 counts of abusing a corpse. 

The funeral home was investigated and forced to close in January. Leroy Wood was fined and had to give up his licenses. 

He’s also being sued by families of those whose bodies were allegedly mistreated.
