LONOKE COUNTY, AR – Dozens more warrants have been issued in the investigation of a fraudulent prescription case that sent a Little Rock doctor to jail in May.
On June 17, the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office says it conducted a large scale warrant sweep in the Dr. Richard Johns case.
The LSCO says a total of 50 felony arrest warrants were issued to members of the criminal enterprise.
Thirty-seven individuals were taken into custody in a joint effort of the LCSO, DEA, FBI, Arkansas Community Correction Special Response Team, the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force, and White County Sheriff’s Office.
There are still 13 individuals that are outstanding and the manhunt for these individuals will continue until they are apprehended.
The LCSO says this is the largest illegal prescription investigation in county history.
