Original story (11:45 a.m.):
CONWAY, AR – A man has been stabbed to death after police say an on the job argument between co-workers turned into a physical fight not once, but twice.
Officers with the Conway Police Department (CPD) were called to the 1400 block of Arden Lane around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday.
That’s where they found the victim lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
Police say Zachary Gibbs, 29, is under arrest in the case. He faces a charge of second degree murder.
A witness told police he drove the victim to Gibbs’ home after the fight, hoping the two would talk things out but they instead started fighting again until the victim collapsed.
Gibbs was found by officers inside of his house and taken into custody.
Police say a knife believed to have been used in the stabbing was taken as evidence.
The CPD says this is the city’s first homicide of the year. In 2014, the city had just one homicide, which occurred in June.
