Update (April 29):
CONWAY, AR – A UCA professor is facing more child pornography charges.
A search of Noel Campbell’s home computer turned up 250 additional images.
That’s according to Prosecutor Cody Hiland’s office, which amended the list of charges filed against Campbell this morning..
Campbell now faces 310 counts of distributing/possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Update (April 14):
CONWAY, AR – A University of Central Arkansas professor charged with possessing child pornography has resigned.
Noel Campbell, 45, submitted his letter of resignation today to the university president, Tom Courtway, stating he is “convinced learning occurs in an atmosphere free of distraction” and “a continued professional association with UCA may be detrimental to this commitment.”
Campbell was formally charged on April 6 with 60 counts of child porn.
Court documents filed that days say someone from the University’s IT department notified police that the content could be on Campbell’s state-issued computer.

Update (April 6):
CONWAY, AR – A University of Central Arkansas professor who was arrested last week for child pornography has been formally charged.
Noel Campbell, 45, has been charged with 60 counts of possessing child porn. Court documents filed on Monday show someone from the University’s IT department notified police that the content could be on Campbell’s state-issued computer.
He has been suspended with pay during the investigation. For now, he’s not allowed to contact students.
Update (April 3):
CONWAY, AR – A UCA professor is suspended with pay pending an investigation of child pornography.
College of Business Professor Noel Campbell was arrested Thursday after campus police received a tip that he might be in possession of child porn.
The suspension letter reads as follows:
Dear Dr. Campbell,
Based on information provided by the University of Central Arkansas Police Department, you are suspended immediately with pay pending further investigation of this matter. During the suspension, you are banned from UCA campus and are prohibited from contacting UCA students. Should you be on campus during the suspension, you will be subject to arrest for criminal trespass.

CONWAY, AR – A Central Arkansas college professor has been arrested on child pornography charges.
UCA College of Business Professor Noel Campbell was arrested on Thursday and charged with possession of child porn.
University Police say they received a tip of the possibility of Campbell having child porn. They haven’t confirmed if the images were found on his work computer or a personal computer.
He was booked into the Faulkner County Detention Center.
