BENTON, AR – A man wanted for a weekend shooting that sent a victim to the hospital has been arrested at a Little Rock motel.
The Benton Police Department (BNPD) says Tieren* Watson will face charges in the June 13 incident.
Watson was arrested without incident shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday night at the America’s Best Inn on Scott Hamilton Drive.
The BNPD says Watson’s capture was a result of the hard work and coordination of the Little Rock Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, the Department of Community Corrections Special Response Team, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service in conjunction with the Benton Police Department.
Watson was taken to the Saline County Detention Facility. He is charged with Battery 1st Degree, six counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons (Felon).
The victim in the case remains hospitalized and was in serious condition at last report.
*Watson was first identified by police with the first name of Tierson.

BENTON, AR – Police are looking for a named suspect in a weekend shooting.
Tierson Watson, 26, of Little Rock is wanted in connection with an incident that happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 black of Valley Street.
The Benton Police Department (BNPD) says the victim was taken to a hospital emergency room where they were in critical condition at last report.
According to witnesses, Watson and another individual were involved in an argument when Watson started firing off rounds from a pistol, one of which hit the victim.
Watson faces a string of charges, including: Battery, 6 counts of Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons (Felon).
Police say additional charges could be possible as the investigation continues.
The BNPD says Watson is believed to still be in the Central Arkansas area. He should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone coming into contact with him should call 911 immediately.
