Update (March 25):
LITTLE ROCK, AR — Little Rock Police have released the name of a man killed in a Monday afternoon crash on University Avenue.
The accident victim is identified as Mark Raney, 54, of Little Rock.
He was a passenger in a car driven by Tara Ann Gibson, 45, of Maumelle.
Update (March 24):
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police have released more details about a deadly accident Monday afternoon at 19th & University.
The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) says one of the vehicles involved in the crash was a 1997 Nissan Maxima. That vehicle had come to rest with its rear section inside the Hogman’s Gameday Superstore.
The driver has been identified as Tara Ann Gibson, 45. The LRPD says she had already been taken by ambulance to the hospital when officers arrived. Her injuries are described as not life-threatening. Police say a check of her name found that her driver’s license was suspended and expired.
A man who was a passenger in Gibson’s car died at the scene. His body is at the State Crime Lab for an examination and to have fingerprints taken to help identify him.
The LRPD says the other vehicle involved was a 2011 Dodge Challenger, which ended up in the right hand lane of northbound University just north of the intersection. The driver of that vehicle, Austin Perry, 21, was still on the scene and told officers his only injury was from the airbag hitting his wrists.
Officers went to the hospital to speak with Gibson but she had been medicated and did not recall the accident.
The accident investigation continues and police say some of the businesses in the area have been contacted for the possibility of any evidence that might have been captured on video, but at this time, no video has been turned over.

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Officers worked a fatal accident around 4:30 Monday afternoon at West 19th Street and University Avenue.
The victims’ identity has yet to be determined.
Police say the victim had to be cut out of the vehicle.
According to police there was damage to the Hogman’s Gameday Superstore at the intersection, where one of the vehicles involved had come to a stop partly inside the building.
