CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ark.– New details are emerging about the death a Batesville woman last month.

Brittany Marshall, 31,  was found in the bed of a truck in Independence County on August 31.

According to the medical examiner, the only visible injuries to her body were a single gunshot wound to the head, and a few small bruises. Cleburne County Sheriff’s office is still waiting for the full autopsy report.

Brittany’s husband, Terry Marshall, 31 is currently being held in connection to her death.

Although the murder happened in Cleburne County, the victim’s body was found at Marshall Diesel Service on County Yard Road in Batesville, in Independence County.

CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ark.– A man is in custody in connection with a two county murder investigation.

KAIT reports the body of 31-year-old Brittany Marshall was found in the bed of a truck in Independence County on Thursday.

Her husband, 31-year-old Terry Marshall, has been taken into custody.

Formal charges are pending, according to Cleburne County Sheriff Chris Brown.

Although the murder happened in Cleburne County, the victim’s body was found at Marshall Diesel Service on County Yard Road in Batesville, in Independence County.

Terry Marshall has been transported to the Cleburne County Jail.

The investigation is continuing.
