Update: Pilot Killed in Greenbrier Plane Crash

April 23 UPDATE:
The pilot has been identified as Chuck Snyder. Officials say he was an experienced pilot who had flown for several years.

12:12 p.m. UPDATE:
Arkavalley Airport manager Bill Hooten says the pilot has died after crashing his plane Monday morning.

Hooten says the man aborted a landing and clipped a tree, causing the crash.

Original Story (April 22):
GREENBRIER, AR — Crews are responding to a plane crash at the Arkavalley Airport in Greenbrier.

Greenbrier Fire Chief Cody Fulmer says a small airplane overshot the runway, landed on Cessna Road and caught fire.

According to Greenbrier Police, one person was on board the plane, but it is currently unknown if there were any injuries.
