LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police have arrested a second suspect in the killing of a bank security guard inside his home earlier this month.

The Little Rock Police Department says Malcolm Jamel Cooksey, 24, faces charges in the beating death of Fred Pohnka, 68.

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A second suspect has been identified by police in the July 8 killing of a bank security guard inside his home.

Malcolm Jamel Cooksey (see attached photo), 24, is described as 6’2″ tall and 165 pounds.

He’s wanted for the murder of Fred Pohnka, 68, who police say was found by co-workers beaten to death inside his South Jackson Street home when he did not show up for work.  

Cooksey, who is considered armed and dangerous, will face charges of Capital Murder and Theft of Property when he’s arrested.

Police say he was seen in Kanis Park on Tuesday and was also seen running through the nearby Briarwood Apartments at 801 South Rodney Parham wearing white shorts and no shirt. 

Late Tuesday night, police announced their first arrest in the case. Alexandria Martin, 27, is jailed on charges of Capital Murder, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Theft of Property. Martin appeared in Little Rock District Court Wednesday morning. She entered a not guilty plea and was ordered held without bond.
