Update: Searchers Find Husband, Wife Dead at Scene of Plane Crash

MADISON COUNTY, AR — A husband and wife on a plane that crashed in Northwest Arkansas have been found dead.

The Madison County Sheriff says searchers found the two passengers around 8:50 Tuesday morning, as well as the plane, after an extensive search involving multiple agencies.

Early investigation has determined that weather may have played a factor, as the plane clipped some treetops before crashing to the ground.

Civil Air Patrol says the husband and wife were heading to Oklahoma from Alabama, when the communication tower lost contact with the plane around 2:15 Monday afternoon.
