MONTICELLO, AR – A second woman is facing charges in a concealed birth case involving the death of a newborn baby.
Karen Collins, 32, is accused of performing an unlicensed and unlawful abortion.
She is charged in the case, along with the birth mother, Anne Bynum, 37.
Prosecutors on Wednesday charged Bynum with concealing the birth of a newborn baby and abuse of a corpse. She had been arrested back in April after going to a Monticello hospital with her aborted fetus in a plastic bag.
