Update (2:50 p.m.):
LITTLE ROCK, AR – KAIT Region 8 News reports that a Silver Alert has been canceled for a Jonesboro man.
The Jonesboro television station reports that police have located Doffie Jarvis and he is safe, citing Jonesboro E-911 Dispatch.
Jarvis, 80, had been missing early Thursday morning from his home.
The Silver Alert was issued just after 1 p.m. and canceled nearly an hour and half later.

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Arkansas State Police has activated a Silver Alert at the request of the Jonesboro Police Department.
The subject of the alert is Doffie Jarvis, 80, who was reported missing Thursday morning from his home on Hester Street.
Police say Jarvis suffers from dementia and will not know his name or address.
He is 5’9″ tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
When last seen, Jarvis was wearing a plaid shirt, navy pants, and wire rim glasses.
