Update (Nov. 2):
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A local teen is behind bars after an investigation names him as a suspect in an Oct. 12 homicide.
Kenneth Wilson, 18, was taken into custody after he surrendered to police late Thursday evening, says the Little Rock Police Department.
His booking record at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility notes a charge of Murder, 1st Degree.
Wilson is accused in the shooting death of Levon Sales, Jr., 32, which occurred at an apartment complex on Mabelvale Cutoff.
Update (Oct. 12):
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A 32-year-old man was killed in an early morning Friday shooting at a Little Rock apartment complex, authorities say.
At 1:44 a.m. police were called to the Oak Ridge Apartments located at the 6200 block of Mabelvale Cutoff in regards to a shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a deceased male victim lying in the driveway of the apartment complex.
Police say the victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified as Levon Sales Jr., 32.
Homicide detectives and CSSU personnel responded to the scene.
Detectives canvased the neighborhood for potential witnesses.
Sales’ body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
At this time there is no suspect information, or any information regarding the motive behind this incident.
