BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA)- Walmart offers customers yet another way to get store products with convenience, it’s called “InHome Delivery.”

The new service is designed to save time for customers and give them another shopping choice, according to a press release from Walmart.

InHome allows customers to order groceries and essentials and have them, “delivered directly into their kitchen or garage fridge.”

Tenured Walmart store associates can deliver the products even if the customer is not at home, according to the release.

“Associates … will also go through an extensive training program which prepares them to enter customers’ homes with the same care and respect with which they would treat a friend’s or family’s home.”

The service will begin in the fall for more than one million customers in three cities — Kansas City, Missouri; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Vero Beach, Florida.

“Once we learned how to do pickup well, we knew it would unlock the ability to deliver. But what if we not only cover the last mile to customers’ homes but even the last few steps? What if we put their groceries away inside their kitchens or garages? Imagine keeping homes in stock like we do stores,” said Walmart President and CEO Doug McMillon.
