Woman with Pot, Meth Arrested in Lonoke County

LONOKE COUNTY, AR – A woman who deputies say had marijuana and methamphetamine in her possession during a traffic stop has been arrested.

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says Stacie Freeman, 32, of Austin was taken to jail on Monday afternoon after turning over the drugs to deputies.

Her arrest came after a deputy spotted the driver of a car at a service station on Highway 31 north who he believed had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Darris Lee Waters, 25, was arrested on a failure to appear charge.

Freeman was a passenger in his car. 

The LCSO says during the course of the stop, Freeman turned over to investigators a small amount of marijuana, an estimated 2 ½ grams of methamphetamine in the form of “ice” and various items of drug paraphernalia.  

She was arrested for the offenses of; (2 counts) Possession of a controlled substance and Possession of drug paraphernalia.  

The man and woman were both taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility.
