BATESVILLE, AR – A woman’s body has been recovered from the White River near Batesville.
KAIT Region 8 News in Jonesboro reports it learned from Independence County Sheriff Steve Jeffery that the woman’s body was found just below Lock 2*.
The body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock to determine how she died and to identify her.
*Lock 2 is in the Locust Grove community.
