LITTLE ROCK, AR — Teaching the next generation is what Sunday’s National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives youth conference focused on.

“We are really committed to building leaders and making sure young people get a foundation,” said chairperson Rhonda Glover.

The event is part of the organization’s four day conference held at the Statehouse Convention Center. Saturday, local kids saw a dramatization of the first black deputy U.S. Marshal Bass Reeves.

Justin Clark says he is learning how to perform at his best in school and the community.

“It is important because I want to be a leader and hopefully the program helps me and my future so I can help other people,” said Clark.
