ATLANTA — Former Arkansas defensive end Trey Flowers won his second Super Bowl Sunday night.

Not too bad for the former Razorback since being drafted in 2015. This was Flowers’ third-straight trip to the biggest game in sports.

“It feels great.  It’s definitely a blessing,” Flowers told us after the victory. “It’s just an unbelievable feeling.”

After losing in last year’s Super Bowl, the Arkansas product says this win means that much more.

“You think about all the people that doubted us, the people who said we don’t have a defense,” Flowers said.  “You know, we can’t stop the Rams’ offense. And they wanted to right us off.”

Sunday was a relatively quiet night for Flowers in terms of statistics.  He recorded two tackles.

However, the stat that mattered was holding Los Angeles to 3 points.

In Super Bowl LI, New England beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28. Flowers led New England in tackles with six and sacks with two-and-a-half in the win.

In Super Bowl LII, the Patriots lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 41-33. Flowers picked up five tackles, a tackle for loss, and two quarterback hits.

Flowers isn’t the only former Arkansas player collecting a Super Bowl ring.  Deatrich Wise, who had three tackles on the night, will earn his first piece of Super Bowl bling.  Dan Skipper and Cody Hollister, who did not play, can also call themselves Super Bowl champs.

Former Arkansas heach coach Bret Bielema, who is a member of the Patriots staff, will also collect a ring.
