LITTLE ROCK, AR – There’s more trouble for Jermain Taylor as the two-time middleweight title holder is no longer a champion.
According to the website boxingscene.com, the International Boxing Federation has officially stripped Taylor of his middleweight belt, due to his current legal troubles.
As we’ve reported, Taylor was arrested on several charges on Martin Luther King Day after allegedly firing a gun.
He was initially freed on bail, but the charges were in violation of his previous arrest back in August after his cousin was wounded in a shooting at Taylor’s home near Maumelle.
Taylor surrendered to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office last month. Soon after, he was ordered to undergo a mental evaluation.
