LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Pulaski County Circuit Court judge has changed his mind about allowing professional boxer Jermain Taylor, who’s in rehab, to be able to go to church.

Judge Leon Johnson issued an order on Wednesday stating the following:
The court order (issued on 4/27/2015) granting Defendant, Jermain Taylor, permission to attend church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. is hereby rescinded.

The order did not give an explanation for the judge’s decision.

Taylor has been undergoing substance abuse treatment since being released from jail in early March. He has two upcoming trials after arrests in Aug. 2014 and January of this year.

In the 2014 case, Taylor is accused of shooting his cousin during an incident at his home near Maumelle. In the Jan. 2015 case, Taylor is accused of firing a gunshot and threatening a family at the MLK Day parade in Little Rock.

Taylor’s first trial is in June. The second trial is in September.
