Arkansas extended at least four new offers this past week from its four football camps.
Arkansas had a two-day, lineman, passing academy and elite camp this past week. At least four new offers were extended afterward.
Here’s a closer look at the four.
Ethan Downs, DE, 6-4, 235, Weatherford (Okla.), 2021
Was extended his offer following the Elite Camp on Saturday. Downs can also play tight end. As a sophomore, he rushed 70 times for 482 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he had 72 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, five sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble. He also holds offers to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Iowa State, LSU and Nebraska.
Cameron Sidney, DB, 5-10, 165, Riverside (Calif.) Mater Dei, 2022
Arkansas is his first offer and came on Saturday following the Elite Camp. He is the son of former Razorback Shannon Sidney, Shannon is now an assistant coach at Mater Dei.
Will Crowder, QB, 6-3, 190, Gardendale (Ala.), 2021
Attended the second day of the two-day camp. Showed a very good arm and mobility. As a sophomore, he completed 148 of 215 passes for 1,932 yards and 17 touchdowns. He rushed for 758 yards. He also holds offers from UAB, Eastern Kentucky, Southern Miss, Valdosta State and Campbell. He has been to several schools on unofficial visits and his offer list will grow at a fast clip in future.
Hayden Metcalf, WR, 6-1, 165, Prosper (Texas), 2020
Was offered a preferred walk-on spot by Arkansas. He attended the two-day camp. He has a sister who attends Arkansas and will be a junior. Northern Colorado has offered a scholarship. As a junior, caught 34 passes for 580 yards and three touchdowns.
