The football camps in June have concluded and now it’s time to take a look at the Top 12 in-state football recruits in the Class of 2020.
Many of the dozen have already made their college decision. Others could be growing closer to that time including the No. 1 prospect.
Here’s Hogville.net’s Top 12 Prospects in Arkansas’ Class of 2020
1. Blayne Toll, DE, 6-6, 247, Hazen
The state’s top prospect. Toll has already officially visited Arkansas and is at Tennessee this weekend. Following this visit he’s expected to make a decision. As a junior, Toll helped lead Hazen to a state runner-up finish. He currently holds 26 offers. The Razorbacks appear to be in good shape here though Oklahoma and the Vols are hoping to change that.
2. Jacolby Criswell, QB, 6-1, 208, Morrilton
A very good dual-threat quarterback. He committed to North Carolina on June. 3. He chose North Carolina over offers from 17 other schools. As a junior, Criswell completed 89 of 157 passes for 1,350 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. He rushed 72 times for 392 yards and four touchdowns.
3. Jashaud Stewart, DE, 6-2, 221, Jonesboro
Committed to Arkansas on March 9. Will be a rush end for the Razorbacks. As a junior, he had 98 tackles, 71 unassisted, 26 tackles for loss, seven sacks, 13 quarterback hurries, one interception, three forced fumbles and four recovered fumbles. He chose Arkansas over offers from nine other schools.
4. Catrell Wallace, OLB, 6-6, 215, Bryant
Helped lead Bryant to the Class 7A state championship. He finished his junior season with 79 tackles, two sacks and three blocked kicks. Arkansas offered him on Oct. 27, 2018. He also holds nine other offers with Oklahoma State, Arkansas State, Virginia, Houston and Nebraska among them.
5. Robert Scott, OL, 6-6, 295, Conway
Committed to Ole Miss on June 11. He chose the Rebels over 13 other offers. Among the other SEC offers for him were Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt. Solid offensive lineman who should only get better.
6. Chris Hightower, WR, 6-1, 185, Little Rock Christian
Helped lead his team to a state championship in Class 5A. As a junior, he caught 58 passes for 986 yards and 12 touchdowns. Currently holds nine offers including SMU, Air Force, Kansas, Memphis, Army, Tulane, Liberty, Northeastern State and Louisiana-Monroe.
7. Brandon Thomas, RB, 5-11, 194, North Little Rock
Arkansas jumped into the mix for him on June 12 with an offer. He put on a good showing earlier that week at a UCA camp. He rushed for 1,805 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. Holds other offers from SMU, North Texas, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Arkansas State, South Alabama and Northeastern State.
8. Erin Smith, OL, 6-5, 281, North Little Rock
Committed to SMU on June 9. He also holds offers from Kansas, North Texas, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Tulane, Colorado State and Vanderbilt.
9. Kendarrius Moore, LB, 6-1, 211, West Memphis
Committed to Tulane on June 19 over offers from Louisiana, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, Arkansas State, Liberty, Navy, Louisiana-Monroe and Northeastern State. As a junior, finished with 69 tackles, 50 unassisted, 17.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two quarterback hurries, four interceptions, five pass breakups and one forced fumble.
10. Chris Harris, ATH, 5-10, 181, Dumas
Plays quarterback for Dumas and is also outstanding in hoops. Could be a quarterback (depending on level of school he chooses), wide receiver or defensive back in college. As junior, completed 133 of 208 passes for 1,807 yards, 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Rushed 191 times for 1,539 yards and 21 touchdowns. Had 18 tackles and three pass breakups on defense. Had seven kickoff returns for 116 yards. Offers from Air Force, Henderson State and Northeastern State.
11. Quade Mosier, LB, 6-2, 221, Fayetteville
As junior, finished with 115 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and two sacks. Son of former Razorback Cody Mosier who was from Hope. Holds offers from Texas State, Bowling Green, UCF, Northeastern State, Army and Air Force.
12. Dalton Perdue, OL, 6-7, 280, El Dorado
Committed to SMU on June 10 over offers from Memphis and others.
