Arkansas’ coaches had a huge success last July with a BBQ cookout and will host the event again on July 26. 

The event is expected to draw some of the top Razorback recruiting targets as well as some of the current commitments. 

Among the commitments expecting to attend are Highland Park (Texas) quarterback Chandler Morris, McKinney (Texas) North tight end Brandon Frazier, Crockett (Texas) tight end Allen Horace, Carthage (Texas) offensive lineman Ty’Kieast Crawford, Jonesboro defensive end Jashaud Stewart and New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr cornerback Jamie “Greedy” Vance. 

Horace attended and worked out at this past Saturday’s Elite Football Camp. He showed good hands and the athletic ability that caused the Razorbacks and others to extend an offer. 

Frazier may not be the last tight end from his family the Razorbacks recruit. His younger brother, Dylan, recently received his first offer from Texas Tech. The younger Frazier, 6-5, 220, is in the Class of 2022.

Morris is the most recent commitment for Arkansas. He is a true dual-threat quarterback who is preparing to showcase his skills at the Elite 11 in Frisco, Texas, on June 28-30.

Among the prospects the Razorbacks are recruiting still who have said they will be at Arkansas in July are the Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven pair of linebackers Martavius French and Bryson Eason, Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s Episcopal offensive lineman Brady Ward, Highland (Kan.) Community College cornerback Brian George, Pleasant Grove (Texas) 2021 defensive end Landon Jackson and others. 

Adding to Nine?

Arkansas is at nine commitments now and hope to add a couple of defensive linemen in coming days. 

The Hogs are hoping to land Hazen defensive end Blayne Toll and Houston (Texas) Cy Ridge defensive lineman Vernon Broughton. Toll is visiting Tennessee while Broughton is going to see Texas A&M this weekend.

Following those visits, both are expected to make a decision. Toll seems like a good bet to commit to Arkansas though not long ago many were forecasting him to Oklahoma. Arkansas has done a great job recruiting him and seems to have flipped him their way.

Broughton has long thought to be a strong Texas lean and may still be, but the Hogs have made it very interesting. It seems insiders at both Texas and Arkansas feel reasonably well about Broughton. Texas A&M, Ohio State and LSU are also involved with Broughton.
