Wynne Class of 2021 two-way lineman Terry Wells had a very good camp at Arkansas on Friday.
The lineman camp had Wells working for Arkansas’ Dustin Fry, who coaches the offensive line. Wells talked about how the camp went for him.
“Amazing,” Wells said. “Amazing. Had a great time, learned a lot and looking forward to going next year.”
What did Coach Fry tell you about the camp and how you did?
He taught me a lot,” Wells said. “He said I did a good job working. He taught me a lot.”
What were some of the things Fry taught you that maybe were new to you?
“I learned how not to overstep on run block,” Wells said. “On pass block I learned how to not turn my hips.”
Wells was in awe of working on the same fields the Razorbacks do.
“It was amazing,” Wells said. “I like the atmosphere. I just like everything about it.”
Wells is hoping for an offer from the Razorbacks.
“I would go because this is where I want to play,” Wells said. “I just love it. I have always just wanted to play here. A lot of stuff going on and people talking to me about it.”
Wells had been to Arkansas prior to the camp, but talked about seeing even more of the facilities they have to offer.
“I have been to an actual game,” Wells said. “I like the atmosphere. I’ve never seen everything I’m seeing now.”
At 6-4, 280, Wells is a big lineman considering he was a sophomore in 2018. But any chance you may grow some more?
“The last time I went to the doctor he said I’m still growing,” Wells said.
Wells has also camped at Arkansas State and Memphis.
