NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) – The North Little Rock School District School Board will hold a hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the district’s administration office, 2700 N. Poplar St., to vote on the recommended termination of head football coach Brad Bolding.
The hearing was requested by Bolding and his attorney, David Couch. As outlined in the state’s Teacher Fair Dismissal Act, Bolding can request a hearing for the North Little Rock School Board to decide on whether it approves the school district’s termination recommendation.
As requested by Bolding, the hearing will be open to the public. A small number of people – approximately 30 – will be able to fit in the board room at the district’s administration building. In order to accommodate additional attendees, the hearing will be shown live via a video feed at the Lakewood Middle School Mini Auditorium, 2300 Lakeview Road in North Little Rock.
The hearing could last several hours, and the public will not be allowed to make comments or participate. North Little Rock attorney Paul Bloom will serve as the hearing officer, overseeing the agenda.
Both the North Little Rock board room on Poplar Street and the middle school auditorium will open at 4:30 p.m. for people to secure seating.
