LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Fox16 created Victory over Violence to help curb some of the violence happening in our communities.
It is meant to inspire communities to come together and to encourage young people that there is a better way of life.
Community Philanthropist and Author, Kevin Hunt Sr. is perhaps one of the best people to get that message across. Having been a high school dropout and gang member, he knows what life on the streets is all about.
Hunt admits to being illiterate in the 9th grade when he dropped out of school.
He survived a gunshot wound and incarceration to later earn a GED and eventually graduate with honors from a masters program.
