HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – A reward is being offered for information in the murder of a man who police say was killed during a home invasion-robbery last month.

In a news release issued Wednesday by the Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD), the victim in the June 13 homicide was identified as Kenneth Kelly, Jr., who police say was shot inside his home at 200 Portland Street.

The release also stated that investigators had learned that one of the two suspects had been shot during the incident.

The HSPD says Kelly’s family and friends, along with Carrigan Funeral Home, have put up a reward of $1,500 for information that directly leads to the arrests and convictions of those responsible for this murder. All information will be kept confidential.

Police describe the suspects as black males believed to be in their early 20’s or maybe younger. A further description states one of them is about 6’02” tall with a medium build and twisted dreadlocks 5-6 inches long. The second suspect is believed to be about 5’09” tall with a slender build.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead Thursday afternoon.

Officers with the Hot Springs Police Department were called to the scene around 1:30 in the 200 block of Portland St. where a shooting had been reported.

Authorities have not yet released information about the victim or any suspect(s).
