LITTLE ROCK, AR – The storm threat still looms over Arkansas today.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected to redevelop later this morning and especially this afternoon.
The National Weather Service in Little Rock says potential for strong to severe weather will exist for the next few hours, with damaging winds and destructive large hail possible with the strongest storms.
Heavy rainfall is also a possibility with these storms and could trigger flash flooding in areas already soaked by storms late Monday night and this morning. In some locations, several inches of rain could fall over a short period of time.
There’s also a chance for tornadoes, especially across southwestern sections of the state.
