Ice Damage Index for Arkansas from Monday Winter Weather

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The National Weather Service reports that the ice forecast from today’s winter weather has been updated to include up to a quarter inch of ice through noon today. 

The NWS says this has elevated the Ice Damage Index to 1 across most portions of western and west central Arkansas. 

An index value of 1 corresponds to “some local utility interruptions will be possible…typically lasting a few hours.”
