LITTLE ROCK, AR – The road conditions map from the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department continues to show wintry precipitation as of 1:15 this afternoon.
Slush is reported in the Fort Smith metro area with ice to the south. Ice is reported to the south of Russellville and also around Mena. Ice is also reported on roads from Mountain Home south to Batesville and Clinton.
Earlier today, ice patches had been reported from De Queen to north of Nashville, around Texarkana and from Ozark to Russellville to Conway as well as from Harrison to Mountain Home.
Ice patches and ice had also been reported around Fort Smith and Fayetteville. In Fayetteville at 7 a.m., northbound I-540 was at a standstill because of several accidents between exits 64 and 67. Arkansas State Police reported 18 car crashes over a 3.5-hour period in a two-mile stretch of the interstate.
Ice was also reported earlier today in the Arkadelphia area.
